Transportation - By Land and Sea

Driving

By land in Canada, head to the Tsawwassen Ferry terminal located at Point Roberts, 36km south of Vancouver. Your destination by sea will be the Swartz Bay Ferry Terminal on Vancouver Island. Reservations are recommended with BC Ferries.

To save on ferry costs and hotel parking fees, you can park your vehicle at the off-site long term parking on the Tsawwassen side. There is a shuttle between this parking site and the ferry terminal. For more information check out the Tsawwassen Ferry Park & Go.

If you drive onto the ferry, Swartz Bay is located a 30-45 minute drive from Victoria City Centre. Take HWY 17 directly from the ferry terminal to downtown Victoria. If you choose to walk onto the ferry, there are city buses operated by BC Transit between the Swartz Bay Ferry Terminal and Victoria City Hall (1.3km from the conference venue).

BC Ferries Motor Coach Connector

The BC Ferries Connector is a motor coach providing service between downtown Vancouver, downtown Victoria, and Vancouver International Airport (YVR). Tickets can be purchased on-line.

BC Ferries Connector Onboard Select BC Ferries Sailings

On some ferries, bus drivers sell walk-up tickets on the ferry on a “first come, first served” basis during the first 30min of sailing only. Our buses are only travelling on the Tsawwassen/Swartz Bay ferries and are not travelling on all sailings.

Please contact us by email at reservations@bcfconnector.com to confirm that the ferry you are travelling on will have a bus, and what to do with luggage, before making any travel arrangements.

The connector also provides service from Whistler, Kelowna and Kamloops, BC.
