Melissa Welsh is a National Award-Winning Photographer based on Vancouver Island, BC. She studied her craft in London, Ontario, and has since built a career in lifestyle, portrait and wedding photography. She is a fun, free-spirited individual with a deep love for adventure. Her work can be found in private collections around the world as well as in regional, national and international publications.
In 2015, Welsh became an author and tech entrepreneur. Her company Pixel Cents, has revolutionized the way photographers price their products and services. She is currently helping photographers improve their income and lifestyle in 22 countries around the world.
Career highlights include representing Canada at the World Photographic Cup, winning both National and Provincial awards for her work. She is known to climb trees, jump in helicopters and wade through mud-bogs to get “the shot”.
As a committed educator and volunteer, she dedicates much of her time promoting positive change in the photography industry. In the past few years she has served as the B.C. President of the Professional Photographers of Canada (PPOC), the Communications Chair for the PPOC and the chair of the PPOC Island Branch. She is also a PPA and WPPI member.
When Melissa is not working or volunteering, you will find her adventuring on Vancouver Island with her husband and two young children.
