While umbrellas and softboxes are industry staples, true creative control comes from exploring the unique light-shaping tools that set your work apart.
In this hands-on session, you’ll discover how broncolor’s state-of-the-art strobes and innovative modifiers—such as para reflectors, strip lights and other specialty light shapers—can transform mood, texture and dimension in your images. You’ll learn how to use these tools, plus simple home-made tools, to sculpt light with precision, highlight detail and create atmosphere that elevates both people and products.

Beyond the Headshot – Studio Lighting & Posing for the Young Adult
1pm -4pm on April 17/2026.
Young adults (Gen Z) crave authenticity and an experience beyond a standard job application headshot. We will cover 1-2-3 lighting setups with various softboxes and grids to control the spill of light, gel color to add mood and story to the moment, and haze from the Smoke Ninja for special effects. Learn modern poses for males and females that span from traditional to motion. These great images need to be sold and displayed as wall art or books; you’ll hear about the collections and social strategies that keep the bookings coming.
