World Photographic Cup

Every year Canada enters their best images in the World Photographic Cup – an international team photo competition. Our goal is to showcase our photographic talent to the world.

The WPC Team Canada is a volunteer committee that creates our country’s submission. Volunteer curators from supporting photographic associations, are tasked with reviewing images submitted by Canadian photographers to find the 24 exceptional images that will represent Canada. Every summer Canadian photographers, professional and amateur, are invited to submit images for consideration.

The World Photographic Cup is a not-for-profit organization founded in 2013. Its singular goal is to unite photographers in a spirit of friendship and cooperation. The global competition typically attracts over 35 national teams from 5 continents. Each country is invited to provide one judge, and all this creates the international judging panel. Submissions are scored and tabulated anonymously using online software.

This media presentation will immerse you in the beauty and creativity of the World Photographic Cup images. These photographs from nations around the globe will inspire you and set the stage for a fabulous weekend of learning. Plus a few of our Canadian medalists will detail the story behind their images and what it is like to be a member of Team Canada.
